Chloe and Molly

Chloe making herself comfy among Nathans stuffed animals...
Nathan with "the girls" at the top of the stairs...

So, from the girl who would never really wanted a dog (nevermind 2!) I sure do love having them here with us!  Especially when my Fibro is acting up and I spend a lot of time at home in bed and laying on the couch!  They are my little buddies...

Homemade Dog Treats...for the "GIRLS"

We get homemade treats cuz we're spoiled!!
Mostly pureed carrots...

Roll them out like sugar cookies
Cut into triangles (or any shape) and put on baking sheet.
Bake for 5 minutes

Good GIRL...trying to teach her how to sit!  She's a smart dog.
Become a HERO!!

The recipe was pretty simple, but a bit time consuming with boiling the carrots, pureeing them, rolling the dough, cutting the dough, and then baking!  We'll see how Mollys tummy does with these.  She usually can only eat cooked chicken for treats so she doesn't get colonitis.  These doggies add so much life and fun into our family, I think we're going to keep them!!

Happy Belated Birthday to Us...Cha Cha Cha!

My Mom and Larry had been trying to have us over for dinner to celebrate our birthdays since mid-September, and we had planned it several times and had to cancel. So on Sunday, we went over to their house and had Lasagna and Chocolate Cupcakes.
Kyle and Smokey
Thanks Mom and Larry for dinner and the birthday gifts and gift cards. We love you guys and appreciate all you do for us.

Weekend and Fireworks at the Beach

We spent many hours this weekend invading Tanya and Brets RV. They were staying right on the beach ($450 per night per space!) and we had a blast. Tanya's Mother-In-Law (aka Grandma Beth), Tanya, Mom, and Schuey the "Lap Dog!"
Darrell and Bret proving they are macho...ya whatever...
Larry enjoying the beautiful weather and views.
The kids just run amuck and have a blast. They are filthy by the end of the day.
Watching fireworks on the beach. They had a beautiful fireworks show and music to go along with it. We had a great time.
I'm even getting better at taking the fireworks photos. Thanks Tanya, Bret, Beth, Eldon, and Holly for sharing part of your vacation with us.

Snow Play...in So Cal???

Nathan and Eldon "got air" and went flying down the hill. So Fun!
Eldon and Holly. Eldon is ALWAYS chosen to be the driver...what a brave boy!
Walking back up is the hard part!
Here we go again. The thousandth time down the hill.

And again...
Schuey the Meacham Boxer getting in on the action.
Holly tried to be brave, but usually bailed off the side just as they started to go down.
Taking it sideways...
Hey, Kyle...watch out for that tree...
I tried to warn you...you should listen to your mother.
Eldon could not get enough of the snow.
Such a California girl. Skorts, tank top, and boots. It was a nice sunny day, but I had my sweater on.
Kyle...at the end of the day.

Nathan went to play in the snow with Eldon and Holly on Saturday, then he spent the night. We picked him up yesterday afternoon and all the kids played in the snow, including Kyle. They had a blast. It's so weird that they live only 30 miles from our house, but the weather is EXTREMELY different. Who knew that we'd be able to play in the snow in Southern California?? On our way to their house, there were cars, people, kids, dogs, and the like lining the Ortega Highway...that's the road we take to their house. Everyone was having a blast playing in the snow! Here are a few pictures that my sister took. Are you ready for Christmas??

A Dog Day...Literally

My Mom brought her dogs, Smokey and Maggie, over today and the mobile groomer trimmed them after Molly's appointment. They all looked so cute. Poor Jenn, the groomer, was so hot. Her trailer doesn't have AC, only a fan. Hot wet dogs stink. The first photos are Molly "before" and the last photo is "after."
