How to Easily Make Hamburger Patties...Delicious!!

I LOVE me a good hamburger...especially grilled with Swiss Cheese and Avocado on a Wheat Bun!! I prefer to use fresh ground beef instead of the pre-formed patties, but it is a pain in the butt to get the patties formed so that they are uniform in size and they don't fall apart. Many years ago, I bought a hamburger patty maker from Tupperware! It works SO great...I don't know why anyone who NOT use it!? I know that is not proper English...whatever!
You just section off your hamburger meat. I usually buy about 4 pounds and section it into 12 pieces, so each patty is close to 1/3 pound. Put the handful of meat in the bottom of the Tupperware thingy.
Top it with the handle press. Press and turn at the same time for about 3 seconds...literally!
Lift the handle and...Wa La...perfectly shaped burgers!! It does not get easier that that!
Keep going to use up all the meat. I always make at least twice as many as we will eat and freeze them. It's a good snack/lunch/dinner on a busy day. Especially during baseball season when we don't get home until late, and many days have 2 games in one day. WAY better than fast food, and ready in minutes.
All of these patties took me maybe 5-10 minutes to make. Buy a Tupperware hamburger maker, it is not a gimic, I use mine regularly.
Okay, I must go now...and eat a burger!

Baseball Mom

This is a picture log of my day...a typical week-end day in the life of a baseball Mom...with 2 kids playing baseball. 6:00- Molly and I wake and get the house going. Pack the car, get water bottles, chairs, blankets, and all the necessities when spending the day on the field.
7:00- Get the boys uniforms ready. Get myself dressed and ready, wake the boys and feed them and get them psyched up for their games.
8:00- Leave with Kyle to Newport Beach for his game. It's a 40 minute drive and he must be there by 8:45 for a 10:00 game. Make sure Nathan is up and eating breakfast. Darrell will take him to his game and we'll meet them there.
9:00- Dropped Kyle at the high school and run to Jack-in-the-Box to grab a snack. Have one hour until game time. Correct Nathan's teachers work she sent home for me and watch Kyle's warm-up.
10:00- Uh-oh. Rain delay and I'M FREEZING!!
10:30- Rain Rain Go Away....
10:45- Game called off due to rain...duh! Re-Schedule for Monday night.
11:00- Pack up and head to Nathan's game. Kyle is #14.
11:10- Get something warm to drink. We're. REALLY. COLD!!!
12:00- Nathan's game begins. He is team captain today on the mound leading the Little League Pledge.
12:15- My Bleacher Partners!
12:30- Nathan's pitching today and doing great. Go NATE!!!
3:00- Games over. Time to wash the uniforms and take a nap! It's a long day on the field, but there's no place I'd rather be that watching my kids play ball.

Before and After ~ Kitchen "Office"

I know I have not posted a blog in over a week, it's been crazy at our house. Baseball EVERYDAY...I am not exaggerating! It's fun, but I don't get any of my regular stuff done. I have been organizing my kitchen "command center" this week. What I thought would be a few hour project turned into a few day project, after I decided to repaint stuff, replace baskets, and the like. You know I can't just re-organize anything without making it pretty. So, here are the pictures... The cabinet, below, was out of control! I had vitamins in there that had expired in 2004.
An upclose photo of the counter top.
An upclose shot of the cabinet...ugly!
It's much better now! Although, when I get busy, this is always the area that takes the hardest hit. By the way, Jill do you see the little porcelein cup in the back? You gave it to Kyle when he was born, and I use it for my jewelry...love it!!
Have a great week. I am going to try to post more this week, if I don't my family (uh, Hi Larry) gives me a hard time. I'm glad they're interested in my blog.
